Sarai Research is a Berlin based technology support collective. We provide support to various types of collectives, human rights groups, activist groups, non profit organizations, and other similar groups of individuals. We do so by providing secure, accessible, and sustainable digital infrastructure and focus on practical tools, training, and support to enable these groups to focus on their mission safely and effectively.
We focus on two flagship services, each designed to provide practical, movement-owned alternatives to insecure consumer tools. We specialize in working with relatively small groups on specific programs, and in embedding ourselves to work closely with the teams and develop customized technology solutions.
Sarai Research helps organizations set up secure workspaces including encrypted email, private messaging, cloud storage, and password managers. A simple, sustainable foundation that replaces risky consumer apps with safer, movement-owned tools.
Sarai Research equips groups with tailored tools for advocacy such as evidence databases, digital archives, mapping, and secure publishing platforms. Technology designed to protect sensitive data and enhance mission driven digital workflows.
